Gagudju Lodge Cooinda is located three hours drive from Darwin the home of Yellow Waters Billabong in Kakadu National Park, a land locked billabong 10 km in area, the lodge can be accessed via road or by air. Admist the wonders of one of the world's great nature reserves lies the Gagudju Lodge Cooinda, offering 48 air conditioned lodge units, 34 twin share budget rooms, a 375 site camping ground, petrol station, general store, airport and to the famous Yellow Water Cruisers, there are many local attractions within easy travelling distance.

The latest "Big" attraction is the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre, better known as "The Turtle", which opened in May 1995. Located less than 1km by road or 15 minutes bush walk from the hotel, "The Turtle" offers a walk through Aboriginal Cultural Display area, cinema shows and an Aboriginal Arts and Crafts Shop.

Yellow Water Cruises
Yellow Water Cruises depart daily, all year round. During the wet season, due to the high water levels, the Another picture of the hotel cruise departs from Home Billabong. The cruise boats are canopied and operated by an experienced Tour Guide who will introduce you to the mysteries of the Yellow Water Wetlands, it's Flora and Fauna.
