In Australia's Whitsunday's Islands, nestled between the north eastern coast of Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef, lies Hayman.The resort itself fronts two stunning white coral beaches. No part of the resort is taller than four storeys and most guest rooms, restaurants and other private areas are situated in two wings - East Wing and West Wing - which are linked by scenic walks and gardens.

Guests can choose from 203 rooms and suites plus 11 individually styled penthouses, all with private balconies or terraces with either magnificent views over swimming pools, lush tropical gardens, beaches or the Whitsundays. A feeling of modern tropical elegance prevails in the guest room furnishings and overall decor which fully complements the surroundings and provides comfort
and privacy.
The sports and leisure facilities are extraordinary and take full advantage of the tropical waters surrounding Hayman. Watersports include water skiing, parasailing, windsurfing, snorkelling, fishing and scuba diving and the splendours of the Great Barrier Reef. Alternatively, you can simply laze by one of the resort's swimming pools.
Guests can choose from tennis, squash, volleyball, putting greens, golf target range, bush walks or strolls amidst beautiful gardens. Hayman's fleet of superbly appointed yachts cater for journeys to the Reef, nearby islands, diving trips or sunset cruises.
There are boutiques for everything from resort wear to evening wear, fine jewellery and accessories. Hayman also offers a comprehensive Health Club and Beauty Salon.
Dining on Hayman is an international experience. Live entertainment offers variety and a fun-filled atmosphere. Guests can choose from six restaurants, a traditional Aussie BBQ and sunset cocktails at the Beach Pavilion. In the evenings there is a choice of Italian, Oriental or Australian style cuisine, or the magnificent French restaurant, La Fontaine. Alternatively, we can offer a Candlelight Dinner on your balcony or a romantic dinner cruise through the Whitsundays. 2001 has seen the introduction of a fresh, new dining concept,
Azure on the site of the former Coffee House and sfronting crystal waters and white sands of the resort beach. Azure offers contemporary Australian indoor and outdoor dining, specialising in fresh regional seafood prepared in an open show kitchen.
Retreat Rooms
In the tranquil tropical gardens of the Retreat Wing within 10 metres of the Hayman Beach. An exclusive group of 16 rooms, each has a strong relationship with the outdoors, and the tropical surrounds provide a lush canopy enveloping a verandah and outdoor rinse shower. The interior is a peaceful haven of natural tones and rich grained woods. Special features include a daybed and an open plan luxurious bathroom with a sunken bath that overlooks a private rockery garden with outdoor rainwater shower. The room area is 38 square metres.
Pool Room
On Level 2 of the Pool Wing, overlooking the famous Hayman Pool and tropical gardens. Each room has a spacious balcony and spacious marble bathroom with a shower over the bath. The room area is 37.64 square metres.
Pool Access Room
On Level 1 of the Pool Wing, these rooms are uniquely located on the edge of the Hayman Pool and offer the ultimate Hayman experience. Each room provides direct access from the room's balcony straight into the pool. This room offers the same interior design as the Pool Room (see Pool Room category under Rooms & Suites for interior shot). This includes a spacious marble bathroom with a shower located over the bath. The room area is 37.64 square metres.
Lagoon Room
On Levels 1, 2 and 3 of the Lagoon Wing, overlooking the Lily Lagoon, Lagoon Pool and tropical gardens. Special features include a spacious bathroom with double vanity and open plan dressing room. The room area is 54 square metres.
Beach Front Room
Located in the Beach Wing, on the Hayman Beach, fronting the Coral Sea and adjacent to the famous Hayman Pool. An exclusive group of 10 absolute beachfront rooms, each has a private terrace extending onto the white sandy beach. Each room is appointed throughout with terracotta tiles and the bathroom contains a romantic double spa with separate shower. The room area is 32 square metres.

| Transfers | Launch transfers are normally included in the through airfare to Hayman (Port Code (HIS). Alternatively, daily services into Great Barrier Reef Airport (HIS) from most major cities connect with Hayman's luxury launches (transfers extra cost when fare is only booked to Great Barrier Reef Airport), seaplanes or helicopters. Alternative access is available via Proserpine Airport, or via boat service from Shute Harbour. Launch or boat transfer time is 55 minutes and seaplane or helicopter is 15 minutes.
