Wilderness Lodge Arthur's Pass
The Wilderness Lodge Arthur's Pass is a 2500 hectare property, surrounded by National Park in the heart of the Southern Alps on the South Island of New Zealand. All rooms have private bathrooms, views overlooking the Waimakariri Valley, tea-coffee facilities, fresh fruit and flowers. The Wilderness Lodge offers guided alpine walks through mountain beech forest, wetlands, a unique thorn forest and tussock grassland of Arthur's Pass National Park and Craigieburn Forest Park. Other attractions include mountain canoeing and trout fishing on the Waimakariri River and Lakes Sarah and Pearson. Guests can also sheer a sheep, work the sheep dogs or partake in a native birdlife guided walk. All year round there is an abundance of wildlife and wildflowers, and in winter the Lodge is a good base for trips to the ski fields.
The Lodge's Mt. Rolleston Restaurant offers superb food and wine and home style country breakfasts. There is a comfortable lounge and library as well as a large conference
room.
