Depart Melbourne at 8:45am. Our journey takes us out of the city and across the impressive West Gate Bridge, giving panoramic views of Melbourne's skyline. We travel to our first stop at the famous coastal town of Torquay, where we ask you to join us in a complimentary Aussie Tucker and Billy Tea. Take in the fresh sea breeze as you enjoy Billy Tea, along with Vegemite Crackers and Lamingtons. After a break of approximately half an hour we leave Torquay and start our journey toward the spectacular Great Ocean Road. Admire the spectacular scenery as we wind our way along the Great Ocean Road toward Lorne. Upon arrival your driver will deliver you to your accommodation at the Cumberland Resort, Lorne (M401) or Apollo Bay International Flag Hotel (M402). The afternoon is yours at leisure to engage in a game of golf, go shopping, stroll along the beach or just relax. There is an excellent restaurant at your hotel, plus a wide variety of cafes and restaurants available in town. All meals during your stay are at your own expense.
Day 2. Apollo Bay, Twelve Apostles, Melbourne
This morning is at your leisure. Check out time is at 10:00am, however, if the room is not required you may be able to extend your stay (please inquire at reception). Your coach will collect you at 11.30am outside Hotel Reception. Once on board your coach, you will journey further along the Great Ocean Road, firstly through the magnificent Otway National Park, and then rejoining the beautiful rugged coastline in the Port Campbell National Park. We arrive at Apollo Bay where we stop for lunch (own expense).
Departing Apollo Bay we continue along the Great Ocean Road towards the 12 Apolstles. We visit the magnificent 12 Apostles and then onto Loch Ard Gorge which incorporates the Loch Ard Cemetery and Island Arch. An afternoon refreshment stop is made at Port Campbell, where we have time to take in the seaside town. (Refreshments own expense) Return to Melbourne via Colac, where we stop for dinner (own expense) arriving back at approximately 9:30pm.
